Job summary

Pratt is seeking a Production Engineer to support the operation and maintenance of our paper machine equipment in a 24/7, 12-hour shift environment with a four-shift rotation. The role emphasizes safety, adherence to procedures, and collaboration with mill staff to ensure continuous production and quality.

Prior papermaking experience is not required, but a strong mechanical aptitude and ability to read/process diagrams are essential.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent experience required.
• Previous papermaking experience is not required.
• Willingness to undergo background checks and pre-employment screening.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret procedural instructions, process designs, and diagrams.
• Monitor, control, and adjust paper machine equipment and processes.
• Perform basic repairs on mill equipment and assist in preventative maintenance.
• Train other employees and receive cross-disciplinary training in plant operations.
