Smurfit WestRock in Texas seeks a seasoned Paper Mill Department Manager to lead Paper Machine, Roll Line, Finishing and Shipping operations, ensuring safe, productive, and cost-efficient performance. You will gather insights from Operators, Foremen, Engineers and Supervisors to improve overall mill performance.

Responsibilities include driving safety, reviewing daily results, managing resources, and leading capital projects while maintaining ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 compliance.

Competenze

• College degree or 10+ years of supervisory experience in papermaking.
• Significant experience with paper machine operations.
• Understanding of mill-wide operations and interdependency.
• Knowledge of Quality Management System and Environmental Management System.
• Clear and effective communication across all levels of the organization.
• Ability to define objectives and involve others in achieving them.
• Ability to organize and facilitate improvement teams.
• Commitment to continuous improvement in safety, quality, environment, production and cost.
• Understanding of financial aspects of paper machine operations.

• Proactively drives safety improvements and compliance with policies and standards.
• Review production and quality results daily; assist teams with problem solving.
• Manage production resources and interface with other departments to maintain efficient mill operations.
• Identify performance gaps early and drive corrective actions.
