Basic functions include supporting the winder, performing core cutting to order, and maintaining a clean work environment. Candidates must have a high school diploma or GED and be able to pass a company testing process; drug screening applies after offer.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must pass company written test covering Rules & Gauges, Numerical Ability, Reading, and Bennett Mechanical aptitude testing.
• Ability to read reports, gauges, signs, etc.
• Experience in a heavy industrial environment is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Cut paper cores to proper length and plug ends.
• Remove cores from storage area.
• Assist in startup of winder under instruction.
• Empty garbage cans and remove wastepaper for disposal.
• Assist in basement cleanup during downtime.
• Empty the vacuum deposit system.
