Job summary

AdaptHealth is seeking a PAP Specialist to manage data entry, inventory, and referrals while coordinating with physician offices and support staff. You will ensure customers receive PAP equipment, schedule pickups, provide usage instructions, and handle financial responsibility discussions.

The role supports Medicare and other insurance audits and aims to improve daily operations. The position emphasizes HIPAA compliance, coordination with branches, and ongoing education to maintain program

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 1 year work experience in healthcare admin, financial, or insurance customer services, claims, billing, call center or management.
• Senior level requires two years of related experience and one year of exact job experience.
• Exact job experience is in Medicare certified HME/diabetic/home medical supplies environments that bill insurance.

Responsibilities

• Enter data accurately into the database, including payer, authorization, coverage, and requalification status.
• Maintain knowledge of current HME products and insurance guidelines for eligibility and reimbursement.
• Collaborate with branches and teams to achieve goals.
• Assist in developing and maintaining reference materials and sharing information.
• Participate in monthly meetings and trainings.
• Educate internal/external customers on compliant documentation requirements.
• Maintain patient confidentiality per HIPAA guidelines.
• Complete required compliance training and adhere to AdaptHealth's program.
