Job summary

The Salvation Army Southern California in Chandler, AZ seeks a part-time non-exempt associate to support food pantry operations and client services. Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Experience in social service setting preferred.
• Computer literate in Word, Excel, and others.
• Must be able to assist clients with positive outcomes.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Must pass a criminal background check and have a valid AZ driver’s license.
• Proficient with computer applications and data entry in WellSky.
• Ability to work with diverse populations and remain calm under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Daily check and recording of temperatures of refrigeration and freezer units.
• Report equipment concerns ASAP to maintain safe operations.
• Work with Driver to ensure food pickup and pantry delivery in a timely manner.
• Prepare food boxes/bags using supplies and rotate stock on schedule.
• Assist clients with shopping in client choice pantry and clothing closet.
• Input client and resource data into WellSky and partner databases daily.
• Supervise volunteers and coordinate duties in the pantry.
• Perform additional duties during holidays and seasonal activities as assigned.
• Adhere to policies, follow directions, and maintain a courteous demeanor.
