Job summary

Catholic Charities of Buffalo is seeking a Full-time Pantry Service Representative for Lovejoy Food Pantry in Buffalo, NY. The role supports temporary food assistance across Erie County and requires flexible, Monday–Friday hours at multiple pantry locations.

You will work in a team-focused environment to maintain safe, efficient pantry operations, assist volunteers and clients, and represent the agency with professionalism. Benefits include holidays, PTO, and health coverage.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree required; a degree in a human services field is preferred.
• Must have experience in a related field or working with individuals, families, and communities in need.
• Ability to work independently and effectively with people from diverse backgrounds.

Responsibilities

• Perform food pantry tasks such as receiving donations, sorting and storing products, stocking shelves and coolers, and discarding waste.
• Ensure effective and efficient pantry operations.
• Support and assist pantry volunteers and staff in completing all tasks.
• Assist pantry clients and guide volunteers in helping clients navigate the pantry.
• Work safely and comply with all safety rules and procedures; promote team safety.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas to meet USDA standards.
• Represent Catholic Charities in a courteous and professional manner with donors, volunteers, visitors, community members, agency partners, clients, and staff.
• Support food drives and pickups as directed, including occasional Saturday work.
• Attend staff and training meetings as directed.
• Adhere to federal and state laws regarding confidentiality, privacy, billing, documentation, and program standards.
