Job summary

Plascore Inc in Zeeland, Michigan is seeking a Laminator for 3rd shift to perform laminating operations using hot and cold press processes, plus material prep, routing and assembly of lamination components. This full-time role starts on the 3rd shift Sunday through Thursday 10:30 PM to 6:30 AM.

You will build panels, load and unload presses, inspect platens, read drawings, apply materials, and help improve processes.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Mechanically inclined.
• Ability to work overtime.

Responsibilities

• Build panels using skins, core, frames, rails and other components.
• Load and unload panels from press.
• Inspect and prepare press platens for next operation.
• Prepare skins & core according to process specifications, PQR, Travelers, and BOM (Bill of Material).
• Read and interrupt technical drawings and schedules.
• Read work orders, apply materials, and follow instructions per the electronic data system.
• Is able to calculate pressure for operation for a given press.
• Perform testing on adhesive per process specifications.
• Inspect finished product for appearance, alignment and bonding.
• Completes necessary paperwork, maintains detailed notes and fills out all logs.
• Fill out defect/NCMR data in the electronic data system.
• Assist other departments as necessary.
• Provide the customer with the best value including Cost, Quality, and Delivery.
• Participate in improving our product, processes, equipment, and methods.
• Handle internal and external questions in a prompt professional manner.
• Maintains a clean and safe work environment at all times and continually improves 5S.
• Continually look for ways to improve job efficiency and performance.
• Performs all reasonably related duties as assigned.
