Job summary

Divcon Controls in Irving, TX is seeking a QC Technician for panel assembly and QAQC support. The role involves office-based analysis and field site conformance checks to ensure quality and compliance with drawings and customer specs.

You'll inspect panels, read schematics, verify wiring and components, and perform functional testing, while adhering to safety standards and company quality programs. This position requires attention to detail and reliable teamwork in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; technical degree preferred
• 1+ year of experience in panel assembly, wiring, or QC inspection
• Ability to read electrical schematics and diagrams
• Knowledge of control components (PLCs, relays, VFDs, DDC systems)
• Familiarity with UL 508A and NEC fundamentals
• Proficiency with multimeters and torque tools
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Responsibilities

• Perform in-process and final inspections of control panels
• Verify wiring, components, torque, labeling, and workmanship
• Conduct functional testing including I/O checks and power-up verification
• Ensure compliance with schematics, BOMs, and customer specifications
• Verify UL 508A compliance including SCCR and labeling requirements
• Document inspections, non-conformances, and quality data
• Support corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives
• Maintain a safe and organized work environment
