Job summary

  • Complete touch-up painting and other duties as required.

Job Overview

The Panel Integration Technician is responsible for the installation and integration of electrical components within control panels, switchgear, sub-panels, and other equipment enclosures. This role involves mechanical and electrical tasks to ensure proper assembly, functionality, and safety of electrical systems.

A Day In The Life
Component Installation
  • Install pushbuttons, pilot and control devices, instruments, terminal blocks, circuit breakers, transformers, and similar components.
  • Install bus bars in panels and switchgear, including:
    • Insulating tubing, boots, and sleeving
    • Tape or roll-applied insulation
    • Insulators and supports
Mechanical Adjustments
  • Perform bolting and securing of components.
  • Make necessary corrections for minor fabrication errors, including:
    • Redrilling
    • Tapping
    • Filing
    • Cutting
Electrical Tasks
  • Perform panel installation and bonding.
  • Prepare, run, and terminate conductors.
  • Install cable tray systems.
  • Mount and/or wire:
    • Lights
    • Strut
    • Tray
    • AC/DC distribution panels
    • Battery chargers
    • Switches
    • Conduit
General Duties
  • Complete any other electrical tasks related to equipment enclosures.
  • Perform touch‑up painting as required.
