Job summary

VanZandt Controls in Fort Worth, TX is seeking a Panel Fabrication/Assembly Technician to join a skilled team. The role involves reading electrical drawings, constructing panels from layout to completion, and identifying components through drawings and inspection.

This position requires troubleshooting panel wiring and electro-mechanical devices, assisting with other products as needed, and maintaining a clean, safe work area with attention to detail. DOE compensation applies.

Qualifications

• Requires good background in electrical schematic reading, component layout, wiring methods, electrical machine assembly, and troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of UL508, NEMA electrical standards, and National Electric Code is a plus.
• Must have normal color vision and strong attention to detail and quality workmanship.
• Ability to communicate well in a self-directed team environment.

Responsibilities

• Read and understand electrical drawings.
• Construct and assemble panels from layout to completion.
• Identify electrical panel components from drawings and physical inspection.
• Troubleshoot panel wiring and electro-mechanical devices.
• Assist with assembly of other products as required.
• Use small hand tools, tape measure, speed square, and small power tools.
• Use of multimeter and insulation tester.
• Solder components when required.
• Maintain a clean and orderly workstation.
• Follow safety procedures in the workplace.
