Job summary

Grantek is seeking a panel builder to support our design and manufacturing team at our Addison, IL location. You will install machine controls on custom automation equipment, wiring electrical panels and field wiring, and integrate automation systems.

The role involves reading schematics, mounting components, and troubleshooting to keep equipment in top condition. We welcome both part-time and full-time applicants who bring hands-on expertise and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience wiring automated equipment.
  • High school diploma or equivalent with some college or technical coursework.
  • Ability to read/understand electrical schematics.
  • Ability to use variety of hand/power tools and test equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Panel Construction;Build and wire panels from scratch reading electrical schematics.
  • Field wiring to either the panel I/O or field mount I/O devices.
  • Pneumatic plumbing, must be able to read and understand Pneumatic schematics.
  • Mounting electrical controls components to the machine, and fabricating mounting brackets as required.
  • Must be able to read and understand electrical schematic.
  • Troubleshoot and debug (diagnose trouble or defects, determine corrective action and repairs system).
  • Ensure that all equipment is in proper working condition after troubleshooting.
  • Perform preventative maintenance and diagnostics on automation system and components.
  • Provide status updates to management on assigned projects.

Job Description

The panel builder will be responsible for installing machine controls on our custom automation equipment. Tasks include performing electrical panel wiring, field wiring, troubleshooting and machine integration of industrial automated equipment.
