Job summary

Aerotek is seeking a Panel Assembler for a contract-to-hire role in Smyrna, TN. You will interpret electrical schematics and wire industrial control panels, handling transformers, relays, drives, PLCs, and testing to ensure quality.

This fully onsite 1st shift position runs Monday to Friday, 6:00 am to 3:15 pm. ESOP and competitive benefits accompany on-site work; entry-level electrical training candidates are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

  • Experience wiring and assembling industrial control panels.
  • Ability to read electrical schematics and blueprints.
  • Proficiency with hand tools, micrometers, and power tools.
  • 1–3 years of relevant electrical assembly experience.

Job description

Panel Assembler

We are seeking a skilled Panel Assembler to join our team. The ideal candidate will interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and blueprints to wire and assemble industrial control panels. This includes working with transformers, relays, drives, PLCs, and other electrical components, as well as performing electrical testing and troubleshooting to ensure quality and functionality.

Responsibilities

  • Wire and assemble industrial control panels, including components such as transformers, relays, drives, and PLCs.
  • Perform electrical testing and troubleshooting on completed panels to ensure quality and functionality.
  • Work with high-voltage (480V AC) and low-voltage (24V DC) electrical systems.
  • Use hand and power tools to assemble electrical enclosures and panel components.
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment while meeting production and project deadlines.
Essential Skills
  • Experience in electrical assembly and manufacturing.
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics and blueprints.
  • Proficiency with hand tools, micrometers, and power tools.
  • 1-3 years of relevant experience.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Entry-level candidates with electrical training, vocational schooling, or hands-on electrical experience are encouraged to apply.
  • Preferred experience in wiring industrial control panels and reading schematics.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.

Work Environment

This position is based in a clean, temperature-controlled facility with separate custom and shop buildings. The work schedule is 1st shift, Monday through Friday, from 6:00 am to 3:15 pm. Employees are expected to work independently and maintain production numbers in a well-maintained environment.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Smyrna, TN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $25.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
