Job summary

CDW Academy is seeking a cyber security instructor to create, maintain, and deliver courses in highly virtualized environments. You will design training exercises, deliver training to students, and assess results, leveraging deep subject matter expertise to provide a high-quality learning experience and help students develop job-ready cyber skills.

This is a 1099/contract position - part time / as needed basis, with in-person and virtual instruction, and travel to training sites globally. U.S.

Qualifications

  • Experience delivering technical training in classrooms or small groups.
  • Significant expertise in Cyber Security Operations and expert experience in one or more areas of Cyber Security: Intrusion Detection and Mitigation, Network Defense, Network Traffic Analysis or Operating System Security, Forensics, Incident Response, or Malware Analysis and Reverse Engineering.
  • U.S. Citizenship required

Responsibilities

  • Conduct in-person and virtual instructor-led training in topics such as Identity and Access Management, Network/Host Forensics and Investigation, Cloud Security, Security Operations, Malware Analysis, Reverse Engineering, and Incident Response.
  • Accurately identify participant skill levels and tailor delivery to learners.
  • Demonstrate strong classroom and student management for a positive learning environment.
  • Research future cyber tech directions and update content accordingly.
  • Deploy, maintain, and secure classroom equipment, images, and materials in virtual classrooms or facilities globally.
  • Travel to customer training sites inside and outside the Continental United States.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management

Job description

CDW Academy is seeking a skilled and motivated cyber instructor to create, maintain, and deliver courses in highly virtualized environments. Cyber instructors will create course material, design training exercises, deliver training to students, and assess results. Instructors leverage deep subject matter expertise in relevant technical disciplines to provide a high-quality learning experience for our students. Through their work, the Cyber Security Instructor will empower students to develop and validate their cyber skills creating immediate job and career opportunities.

This is a 1099/contract position - part time / as needed basis.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct in-person and virtual instructor-led training in one or more topic areas: Identity and Access Management, Network and Host Forensics and Investigation, Cloud Security, Security Operations (Red/Blue/Purple Teams), Malware Analysis, Reverse Engineering, and Incident Response.
  • Accurately identify skill levels of participants and align delivery of course material to match individual students\' needs.
  • Demonstrate consistent classroom and student management to ensure a positive, successful learning environment.
  • Research future directions of technology relevant to cyber security and incorporate new topics in the development and delivery of cyber content.
  • Deploy, maintain, and secure classroom equipment, images, and materials in virtual classrooms or in facilities around the globe.
  • Travel to customer training sites both inside and outside the Continental United States.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
