Job summary

OTIFYD is seeking a Palo Alto Firewall / Python Automation Engineer to support a client project involving firewall management, automation, networking, and change delivery. The candidate will work in a remote, client-facing environment with strong hands-on technical capability.

Key tasks include configuring Palo Alto firewalls, using Panorama for policy management, developing Python automation, handling change requests, and ensuring security and connectivity.

Qualifications

• Hands-on Palo Alto firewall experience and policy management.
• Python development and automation experience for operations.
• Strong networking knowledge including routing and security concepts.
• Experience in change management processes and task ownership.
• Exposure to OT environments and Cortex/Data Lake familiarity.
• Azure cloud networking or security exposure is preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support, configure, and manage Palo Alto firewalls
• Work with Palo Alto Panorama for firewall policy management and administration
• Develop Python scripts and automation to support operational and security tasks
• Assist with firewall rule changes, reviews, and change implementation
• Work within structured change management processes
• Troubleshoot networking, routing, and connectivity issues
• Communicate clearly with technical teams, client stakeholders, and project teams
• Work autonomously with minimal supervision
• Support environments where IT and OT systems may interact

Required Skills & Experience:

• Strong hands-on experience with Palo Alto firewalls
• Experience with Palo Alto Panorama
