Job summary

WVU Medicine Wheeling Hospital seeks a Palliative Care Physician to develop and lead a Palliative and Hospice Utilization Program from the ground up in Wheeling, WV.

The successful candidate will practice in the area of Palliative Care and work to build outpatient expansion within an integrated WVU Health System network of hospitals, clinics, and institutes, providing compassionate, comprehensive care.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree or foreign equivalent and eligible for state medical license.
• Completed Internal Medicine or Family Medicine residency; fellowship in Critical Care or Palliative Care.
• Board certified/eligible in Critical Care or Palliative Medicine.
• Geriatrics-trained physician is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Practice in the area of Palliative Care and lead a new Hospice Utilization Program.
• Develop, implement and expand palliative care services within the WVU Health System.
