Job summary

Intermountain Health in Billings, Montana, seeks a Palliative Care RN to provide compassionate, holistic care to patients with serious illness. Join a multidisciplinary team and support patients and families through difficult decisions.

This 40‑hour/week role runs Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM, with no routine nights, weekends, or holidays. You will coordinate care, educate patients, triage calls, and ensure goals of care align with patient preferences.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in the state of practice; compact license transfers within 60 days of employment.
• BSN from an accredited institution; education will be verified.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for Healthcare Providers.
• RNs with <12 months experience must obtain a BSN within four years of hire.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate care and serve as a navigator for palliative care patients and their families.
• Provide patient and family education regarding diagnosis, treatment options, and available resources.
• Assess symptoms and collaborate with providers to support symptom management plans.
• Triage patient and family calls, questions, and care concerns.
• Coordinate services across primary care, specialty care, hospice, home health, and community resources.
• Support advance care planning conversations and documentation.
• Provide ongoing follow-up and care coordination throughout the patient's healthcare journey.
