Job summary

Intermountain Health in Billings, Montana is seeking a compassionate Palliative Care RN to partner with patients and families, guiding care decisions with dignity and comfort across the illness trajectory.

You will collaborate with physicians, social workers, chaplains and hospice teams; follow a Monday–Friday schedule from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM with no routine nights, weekends, or holidays, and contribute to a supportive, patient‑centered care culture.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in the state of practice (or compact license with transfer within 60 days).
• BSN from an accredited program; education will be verified.
• BLS certification for Healthcare Providers.
• RNs with <12 months experience must obtain BSN within 4 years of hire.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate care for palliative patients and act as navigator for families.
• Educate patients and families about diagnosis, treatment options, and available resources.
• Assess symptoms and support symptom management plans with providers.
• Triage calls and care concerns from patients and families.
• Coordinate services across primary/specialty care, hospice, home health, and community resources.
• Support advance care planning discussions and documentation.
• Provide ongoing follow‑up and care coordination throughout the healthcare journey.
