Job summary

Intermountain Health is seeking a Palliative Care RN in Billings, Montana, to provide compassionate, patient- and family-centered care. You will collaborate with physicians, social workers, chaplains, and hospice teams to manage symptoms and coordinate resources across care settings.

The role emphasizes advance care planning, education, and holistic support, with a Monday–Friday schedule and a strong focus on quality of life for seriously ill patients.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in the state of practice; nurses with a compact license must transfer within 60 days.
• BSN from an accredited institution; education will be verified.
• BLS certification for Healthcare Providers.
• RNs with less than 12 months of experience must obtain BSN within four years of hire.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate care and navigate palliative care patients and families.
• Educate patients and families on diagnosis, treatment options, and available resources.
• Assess symptoms and support symptom management plans.
• Triage patient and family calls, questions, and care concerns.
• Coordinate services across primary care, specialty care, hospice, home health, and community resources.
• Support advance care planning conversations and documentation.
• Provide ongoing follow-up and care coordination.
