Job description

Endeavor Health Medical Group (NorthShore), the principal academic affiliate of The University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine, is currently seeking a resource per diem, dynamic, team-oriented Palliative Care physician to join the Department of Medicine. The successful candidate will be board certified or eligible in Hospice and Palliative Medicine.

The selected candidate will join a collegial team of four physicians certified in Hospital and Palliative Medicine with specialties in geriatrics, oncology, and hospital medicine, along with nine APNs and a social worker. Responsibilities include inpatient palliative care and hospice, outpatient clinics embedded in oncology, home-based palliative care, and medical director duties. The role involves teaching residents and fellows, participation in committees, and leadership development opportunities. Academic appointment is available for qualified candidates.

Our Endeavor Health Palliative Care Service supports patients at any stage of life-threatening illness and employs a multidisciplinary approach. Palliative specialists are available upon request to assist in coordinating and managing care. Our hospital system strongly supports our services, emphasizing quality improvement and growth.
