Qualifications

Description

Ascension St Vincent Hospital is seeking afull time, BC/BE Palliative Care physician to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a diverse patient population, providing comprehensivecare to individuals with serious, complex or life-limiting illnesses.Our specialty trained interdisciplinary teamworks with patients to manage pain, and addresspsychosocial, emotional or spiritual distressto improve quality of life for the patient and family.

Responsibilitiesinclude: Inpatient consults, symptom management, team collaboration and multidisciplinary approach to care, timely documentation, education and attending patient rounds, discharge planning, quality improvement, psychosocial support, coordination of care, following best practices/evidence based medicine

Schedule: Monday-Friday 8-5
Call Schedule: 1 night/week & 1 weekend/month (home call)
Practice Detail: Join 5 MD's and 2 APP's
EMR System: Sunrise

Licensure/Certification/Registration:
Physician MD/DO credentialed from the Indiana Medical Licensing Board obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
Advanced Life Support credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) preferred.

Education:
Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) required.
