Job summary

Compass Palliative Care, a California-based palliative care provider, seeks outstanding Nurse Practitioners and PAs with experience or interest in palliative care. The practice delivers palliative services in the hospital setting in the Corona area.

This is a Monday through Friday, part-time position with FLEXIBLE HOURS. The practitioner will manage a specific patient load under the guidance of board-certified physicians who provide training and career development.

Qualifications

• Licensed NP or PA in California required or eligible.
• Experience or strong interest in palliative care preferred.
• Part-time availability and hospital-based work acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients for palliation and comfort needs.
• Provide palliative care to optimize patient outcomes.
• Define and document patient diagnoses in chart.
• Ensure patient and family satisfaction with care.
• Educate patients and families and manage expectations.
• Notate findings and treatment plan in the patient chart with follow-up notes.
• Participate in departmental activities to improve training and outcomes.
