Job summary

PeaceHealth is seeking a Medical Assistant for Palliative Care on a Per Diem/Relief basis, 0.00 FTE, Day shift. Salary range is $25.62–$34.58 per hour, with hiring rate dependent on education, training, and experience.

You will work with the healthcare team to support patient care within the Medical Assistant scope of practice. Essential functions include patient prep, history taking, vitals, room setup, injections, wound care, sterilization, scheduling, and EMR data entry.

Qualifications

• WA State MA Certification required.
• Interim credential accepted; must obtain CMA (Non-Interim) within 12 months.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required on hire.
• National CMA preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for examination and treatment; record history and vital signs.
• Prepare exam rooms; set up and maintain supplies and equipment.
• Administer injections; apply dressings and wound care per provider orders.
• Maintain supplies and equipment; handle sterilization.
• Assist in scheduling tests and follow-up appointments.
• Maintain patient files and enter data into EMR; support clinical staff.
