Qualifications

• Accredited Medical Assistant program or MOA certification eligible.
• Minimum 1 year medical office experience preferred.
• National Medical Assistant Certification (AAMA, AMT, NCCT, etc.).
• Basic Life Support required on hire.
• Strong privacy, teamwork and communication skills.
• Proficient computer use and EMR data entry.
• Time management and prioritization abilities.
• Asepsis knowledge and patient care basics.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for exams and record vital signs.
• Prepare rooms and supplies for procedures and anesthesia interviews.
• Administer injections, dressings and wound care as directed.
• Sterilize and maintain treatment areas and equipment.
• Schedule tests and follow-ups; assist with appointments.
• Maintain patient files and enter data into EMR.
• Screen patients by phone and route to appropriate staff.
• Collaborate with staff to ensure smooth clinic operations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
