Job summary

Graphic Packaging International in Atlanta, GA, is hiring for a palletizer/line worker to sort, transfer, and stack cases on pallets in a fast-paced production area.

Responsibilities include reading packaging specs, monitoring conveyors for defects, operating palletizer, loading pallets, clearing jams, and reporting equipment issues. Candidates should be mechanically inclined, able to lift 25 lbs, and have basic English communication skills.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write and speak English.
• Must be able to lift up to 25lbs chest height.
• Qualified candidate will be mechanically inclined, solution oriented and some computer knowledge.
• Manufacturing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Reads packaging specifications to ensure correct pallet type and arrangement of cases onto pallet matches specification.
• Observes cases moving along conveyor to identify defective cases, or incorrect labeling.
• Turns selector switch on palletizer to control stacking arrangement of cases on pallet and to transfer loaded pallet to delivery platform.
• Supplies loading equipment with empty pallets and slip sheets.
• Stops and restarts equipment to clear jams.
• Informs supervisor of equipment malfunction.
• Must be able to lift up to 25lbs chest height.
