Job summary

Graphic Packaging is seeking a Palletizer Operator to join our Chicago, IL team. The role involves operating palletizing equipment, reading packaging specs, and ensuring correct pallet types and arrangements.

Qualifications

• Reads, writes and speaks English; strong communication skills.
• Mechanically inclined with problem-solving ability.
• Some computer knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Operates palletizing equipment and reads packaging specifications to ensure correct pallet type and arrangement.
• Observes pallets moving along conveyor to identify defects or misloads.
• Adjusts stacking arrangement on pallet and transfers loaded pallet to delivery platform.
• Loads empty pallets and slip sheets; prepares equipment for operation.
• Stops/restarts equipment to clear jams and informs supervisor of malfunctions.
• Operates automatic bagger equipment and completes startup procedure.
