Job summary

Graphic Packaging International is hiring a Finishing Operator in Chicago, IL. You will adjust finishing equipment to process flat carton orders and oversee production, with emphasis on glue systems and throughput.

Qualifications

• Manufacturing experience preferred.
• Mechanical/technical aptitude required.
• Basic computer skills and entry level capability.
• Experience setting up glue systems (Leary, Mactron, Alpina, Pafra).
• Set up/run hot melt units and label machines per specs.
• Ability to train and supervise feeder/catcher staff.

Responsibilities

• Adjust glue machinery to fit carton style and maintain optimum speed.
• Troubleshoot malfunctions and perform quick adjustments.
• Supervise crew and train feeder/catcher trainees as needed.
• Perform routine maintenance on gluer machinery and components.
• Maintain quality/production records and margin of error checks.
• Label cartons per customer specs and ensure safe operations.
