Job summary

Neil Jones Food Company in Vancouver, WA, is seeking a Seasonal Palletizer Operator for the Night Shift at Northwest Packing. You will operate the console that controls automatic palletizing equipment to sort, transfer, and stack containers of finished products.

This seasonal role runs August through November; candidates must have at least 1 year in manufacturing, read/write English, and be able to lift up to 20 lbs; willingness to work weekends and pass pre-employment drug screen; paid sick

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of experience in a manufacturing/industrial facility, preferably in the food industry.
• Able to read and write English.
• Able to operate all palletizer lines, regardless of the can size.
• Requires ability to frequently lift up to 20 lbs.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test and work extended schedule, weekends, and any shift assigned during the fresh pack season, typically August to November.
• Eligible for paid sick leave.

Responsibilities

• Operate the palletizing console to sort, transfer, and stack containers of finished products on pallets at Northwest Packing, Vancouver, WA.
• Promote Food Safety culture through daily actions.
• Visually inspect cans on conveyors for dents or defects.
• Push buttons to cycle cans onto pallets; assist with positioning as needed.
• Confirm can codes are correct and communicate with the Tagging Clerk.

We are looking for aSeasonal Palletizer Operatortooperate console that controls automatic palletizing equipment to sort, transfer, and stack on pallets containers of finished productsat our Northwest Packing plant in Vancouver, WA.This is a seasonal position supporting our fresh pack season, typically August – November.

• Always Promotes Food Safety Culture as a priority through conversations, communicationsand actions.
• Observes mechanical devices in operation and notifies maintenance mechanic if there are issues or concerns.
• Visually observes cans on the conveyers to ensure there are no dents or defects.
• Pushes buttons on machine to ensure cans are cycled onto the pallets; may use a tool to move cans into position if needed.
• Confirms can codes are correct for product being run; communicates with the Tagging Clerk.
