Job summary

The Neil Jones Food Company in Vancouver, WA is seeking a Seasonal Palletizer Operator for the Northwest Packing plant to operate the palletizing equipment and stack finished product on pallets during the August–November fresh pack season.

The role requires at least 1 year in manufacturing, ability to read and write English, and physical capability to lift up to 20 lbs, with weekend shifts and pre-employment drug testing.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of experience in a manufacturing/industrial facility.
• Able to read and write English.
• Able to operate all palletizer lines, regardless of can size.

Responsibilities

• Always Promotes Food Safety Culture as a priority through conversations, communications and actions.
• Observes mechanical devices in operation and notifies maintenance mechanic if there are issues or concerns.
• Visually observes cans on the conveyers to ensure there are no dents or defects.
• Pushes buttons on machine to ensure cans are cycled onto the pallets; may use a tool to move cans into position if needed.
• Confirms can codes are correct for product being run; communicates with the Tagging Clerk.

Salary Range: $20.15 To $22.15 Hourly

We are looking for aSeasonal Palletizer Operatortooperate console that controls automatic palletizing equipment to sort, transfer, and stack on pallets containers of finished productsat our Northwest Packing plant in Vancouver, WA.This is a seasonal position supporting our fresh pack season, typically August - November.

Requirements:

• At least 1 year of experience in a manufacturing/industrial facility, preferably in the food industry.
• Able to read and write English.
• Able tooperate all palletizer lines, regardless of the can size.
• Requires ability to frequently lift up to 20 lbs.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test and work extended schedule, weekends, and any shift assigned during the fresh pack season, typically August to November.
• Eligible for paid sick leave
