Job summary

Graham Packaging Company is seeking a Palletizer Operator based in York, PA (Farmbrook plant). This 1st shift role runs from 7am to 3pm, focusing on production area housekeeping, case making, inspecting and packing finished product following established procedures.

You will follow safety and quality policies, participate in continuous improvement, inspect products for defects, and assist with training and documentation while maintaining a safe, clean work environment.

Qualifications

• Regular, predictable attendance required.
• Computer usage and typing skills are essential.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with internal and external customers.
• Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude.
• Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions and routines.
• Communicates effectively: conveys facts and information clearly both verbally and orally.
• Collaborates well with others: proactively contributes to group objectives.

Responsibilities

• Follow safety, health, quality GMP and Company policies and procedures.
• Participate in continuous quality improvement projects and related activities.
• Visually inspect finished product for defects before packing.
• Follow written packing instructions and communicate issues to supervisor.
• Notify supervisor of potential problems with product or machinery.
• Operate case making equipment safely and efficiently.
• Assist with training of regular and temporary workforce.
• Keep work area clean, orderly, and safe.
• Complete written documentation as required.
• Limited travel may be required.
