Job summary

Crown Holdings, Inc. operates a Palletizer area at Plant 37 in Hanover, PA, running 2-piece and 3-piece steel can packaging. The role supports supervision and quality, with a 5am-5pm rotating 4/4 12-hour schedule and mandatory overtime. Pay is $21.40 per hour, with comprehensive benefits and opportunities for growth.

Reporting to Manufacturing Supervision, you will ensure safety, quality, and efficiency while handling equipment and data entry for labeling and production records.

Qualifications

• Minimum Requirements include ability to work alternate schedules with overtime
• Preferred Requirements include manufacturing experience, high school/gED, OSHA training
• AS400 6S training competencies are preferred
• Strong problem solving, independent or team work, and willingness to think outside the box
• Strong leadership, communication, and conflict resolution skills
• Excellent time management and multitasking
• Excellent oral and written communication
• Computer skills with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Access)

Responsibilities

• Operate palletizer equipment safely and efficiently
• Maintain quality, safety, and productivity while controlling spoilage
• Handle one or more machines in the production of 2-piece or 3-piece cans
• Identify mechanical problems and perform basic troubleshooting
• Communicate production changes and issues to management and shifts
• Assist and train new palletizer operators as needed
• Adhere to SOPs, 6S housekeeping, and production standards
• Enter data for labels and keep accurate records
• Complete safety, incident, and process control documentation
• Other duties as assigned and accommodate disabilities as needed
