Job summary

Graphic Packaging International is seeking a production-oriented team member to support safe, efficient packaging operations at our facility. You will assist in the intake and distribution of products, maintain accurate documentation, and help ensure quality standards are met in every step of the process.

The position requires working in a fast-paced environment, following safety procedures, and communicating effectively in English.

Qualifications

  • Must be proficient in English and able to read/write work instructions.
  • Able to work with minimal supervision and stay engaged in safety-focused tasks.
  • Follow verbal and written instructions accurately.

Responsibilities

  • Perform all duties safely and in an orderly manner.
  • Be actively engaged in SBO processes and safety meetings.
  • Ensure production and distribution of products meet safety/quality standards.
  • Stack boxes and manage inventory as directed.
  • Unload, warehouse and document inbound shipments.
  • Assist in reconciling inventory and report damages.
  • Instruct and train others once qualified.
  • Keep work areas clean and orderly.

Job Description
JOB FUNCTIONS

Job functions include but are not limited to the following.

  • Perform all duties in a safe and orderly manner.
  • Actively engaged, involved, and current in SBO process; Participate in safety meetings and safety tours.
  • Ensure production and distribution of products consistent with established safety and quality standards.
  • Stack heavy boxes up high on units in a pre-designated stack pattern.
  • Unload, warehouse, and properly document inbound shipments.
  • Help in reconciling inventory problems.
  • Notify supervisor and/or group leader of any damage coming down the conveyor.
  • Once qualified, instruct and train other.
  • Maintain all work areas in a clean and orderly manner.
  • Assist in other areas or perform other duties, as assigned.
Requirements
Background/Experience
  • Basic Computer Skills
  • Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
Requirement
  • Employment is contingent upon successful completion of GPI Forklift Certification.
Safe Quality Food Responsibilities
  • Follow all Plant rules, Processes, Hygiene, and Allergens procedures, related to production of Safe Quality Foods.
  • Report to person of authority to record any potentially unsafe conditions which may result in unsafe foods or noncompliance to SQF related procedures.
  • Participate in SQF Root Cause and Corrective Actions (from customer complaints, SQF audits, validation, and verification activities) as required.
  • Follow all procedures related to producing Safe Quality Foods (SQF).
  • Report any potentially unsafe SQF conditions or customer complaints to a person of authority to record and/or correct the situation.

Candidates must be proficient in English, with the ability to communicate, read, and understand work-related instructions and safety procedures and requirements.
