Job summary

LinPepCo is seeking a warehouse associate to ensure outbound pallets are properly wrapped, secured, and prepared for shipment. You will audit pallets, verify quantities, and maintain accurate records to support inventory control and quality assurance.

Experience with pallet jack and forklift operations is preferred. The role may require long hours during peak seasons and adherence to safety standards in a warehouse environment.

Qualifications

  • Sufficient education to read and write at a level required for successful job performance.
  • Ability to obtain a valid pallet jack certification (individuals 18 years or older).
  • Ability to obtain a valid forklift certification as needed (individuals 18 years or older).
  • Ability to provide attention to detail.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with warehouse team members, supervisors, and shipping personnel.
  • Basic computer and data entry skills.
  • Proper lifting techniques.

Responsibilities

  • Operate automated and semi-automated pallet wrapping equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Ensure outbound pallets are properly wrapped, stabilized, and secured to maintain load integrity during transportation.
  • Inspect pallets for damaged product, wrapping defects, or unstable loads prior to shipment.
  • Adjust pallet wrapping equipment settings as needed to accommodate varying load specifications and shipping requirements.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in accordance with company standards.
  • Conduct routine equipment inspections and perform basic preventive maintenance on pallet wrapping machinery.
  • Promptly report equipment malfunctions, operational issues, or safety concerns to the appropriate personnel.
  • Audit completed pallets to verify product quantities, order accuracy, and shipment completeness.
  • Compare pallet contents against shipping documentation, customer orders, and pick lists to ensure accuracy.
  • Identify, document, and report discrepancies, shortages, overages, damaged goods, or other inventory variances.
  • Verify that all pallets are properly labeled and comply with customer, company, and shipping requirements.
  • Ensure outbound shipments meet established quality, safety, and compliance standards prior to loading and dispatch.
  • Maintain accurate audit records, inspection reports, and related documentation to support inventory control and quality assurance efforts.
  • Collaborate with warehouse, shipping, and inventory teams to resolve discrepancies and promote operational efficiency.
  • Perform other duties as necessary

Position Summary

The primary purpose of this role is to ensure outbound pallets are properly wrapped, secured, and prepared for shipment while maintaining shipment accuracy through pallet audits. Working Environment

Work generally takes place in a warehouse setting with the use of an electric pallet jack and robotic pallet wrappers. Exposure to hot indoor temperatures during summer months. Potential for long and irregular hours during peak seasons.
