Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. is hiring permanent, full-time Skilled Construction Laborers for our Amarillo, Texas warehouse/manufacturing facility.

The role focuses on pallet repair and assembly using nail guns, grinders, and saws, with safety as a priority and CHEP quality compliance. Expect 8–10 hour shifts with standing and lifting requirements, plus a competitive benefits package starting after 30 days, including health, dental, vision, 401(k) and PTO.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 1–2 years in carpentry or manufacturing environment preferred.
• Ability to comprehend basic math.
• Ability to operate power tools in a safe manner.
• Must be able to follow repair process.
• Must be able to lift a minimum of 75 lbs and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Repair or assemble pallets using pneumatic nail gun and power tools.
• Place pallets on repair table; remove defective boards and replace with new ones.
• Lift and manoeuvre pallets up to 75 lbs; ensure secure fastening of boards.
• Meet CHEP quality control and safety standards; maintain a clean work area.
• Perform duties as assigned and operate tools safely.
