Job summary

SourceNow is hiring for a Pallet Repair & Production Associate in Charlotte, NC. This role involves inspecting, repairing, and preparing wooden pallets for reuse in a fast-paced recycling and manufacturing setting. Training is provided if needed, with the opportunity to advance as production pays increase.

You'll work from 6:00 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday through Friday, in a full-time position. Second-chance candidates are encouraged to apply and training starts at $17 per hour.

Responsibilities

• Inspect pallets to determine reuse/repair/dismantle.
• Repair pallets by replacing damaged boards and components.
• Use hand and power tools including nail guns and saws.
• Build and repair pallets to meet quality standards.
• Sort pallets by size, condition, and repair needs.
• Stack and move pallets in yard and production area.
• Perform quality checks on repaired pallets.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Follow safety procedures and wear PPE.
• Work with a team to meet daily production goals.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Overview

We are hiring Pallet Repair & Production Associates to join our Charlotte team!

This is a hands-on position working with wooden pallets in a fast-paced recycling, manufacturing, and production environment.

You'll inspect, sort, repair, and prepare pallets for reuse while working safely and efficiently to meet daily production goals.

No pallet repair experience? No problem - we're willing to train the right candidate!

What You'll Do

• Inspect used pallets to determine if they should be reused, repaired, or dismantled
• Repair pallets by replacing damaged deck boards, stringers, and other components
• Use hand and power tools including nail guns, hammers, saws, and other equipment
• Build and repair pallets according to quality and production standards
• Sort pallets by size, condition, and repair requirements
• Stack and move pallets throughout the yard and production area
• Perform quality checks on repaired pallets
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
• Follow all safety procedures and wear required PPE
• Work as part of a team to meet daily production goals
• Perform other duties as assigned

What We're Looking For

Previous experience in any of the following is a plus:

• Carpentry or woodworking
• Warehouse

• Can recognize basic measurements, pallet sizes, and product specifications
• Are willing to learn pallet repair and production processes

Physical Requirements

• Stand, walk, bend, stoop, lift, push, and pull throughout the shift
• Repeatedly handle and move wooden pallets and lumber
• Lift and carry heavy materials using proper lifting techniques and team lifting when needed
• Work outdoors or in a non-climate-controlled industrial environment
• Safely operate hand and power tools
