Job summary

48forty Solutions is hiring a Part-time Pallet Builder in Anderson, SC, to assemble pallets from recycled materials and repair damaged pallets to service-ready condition. The role supports sustainability goals and requires attention to quality and safety.

Typical shift is Mon-Fri 2:30pm–6:30pm with competitive pay and benefits. You will work with supervisors to meet production quotas while maintaining a clean, safe environment in an equipment-focused setting.

Qualifications

• High school degree or GED required.
• Completion of a craft apprenticeship preferred.
• Requires quick hands, attention to detail, commitment to quality.
• Observance of all safety rules and regulations.
• Ability to communicate effectively.
• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with varied variables.
• Ability to interpret instructions in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
• Demonstrated experience safely operating woodworking tools (air/electric/pneumatic/manual).
• Experience in welding, lumbering, carpentry, or roofing is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Build the given number of pallets after training.
• Repair pallets and return them to service-ready condition.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and managers.
• Inspect repaired pallets for quality standards.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment per standards.
• Stack pallets and materials following inventory instructions.
• Check loads to ensure they are secure.

Overview

As a Part-time Pallet Builder, you’ll get to build wooden pallets from recycled materials, deconstructed pallets and/or lumber. You may also repair pallets by taking damaged pallets sent from our customers and return them to service-ready condition, before consolidating and shipping them back to the customer. As sustainability is one of our organization’s top goals, this role is vital to our success!

Hourly Pay:

$17.00/hr. - $25.00/hr. (production-based position)

Shift(s):

Monday-Friday 2:30pm - 6:30pm

What You'll Do

• Utilize appropriate tools and methods to return damaged pallets to service-ready condition
• Communicate effectively with Production Supervisors, Assistant Plant Manager, and Plant Manager
• Examine products after repairing to verify conformance to quality standards
• Must maintain a clean & safe working environment that meets 48forty’s standards
• Build the given number of pallets, once training is complete
• Repair the given number of pallets, once training is complete
• Expected to be able to work without constant supervision to achieve production quotas in the repair area, safely
• Stack pallets or materials in the correct manner, following inventory control instructions
• Check loads to make sure they are secure
