Job summary

Jobtailor in Amarillo, TX is seeking a hands-on warehouse professional to operate power saws and assist in pallet creation. You will set up and trim lumber, ensure safety rules are followed, and communicate with plant management daily to keep production flowing.

The ideal candidate has a High School Diploma or GED, can lift 50–75 pounds repeatedly, and can work overtime in varying conditions. Prior lumber/warehouse experience is highly valued, with a strong focus on quality and teamwork.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Ability to lift wooden pallets which weigh about 50 lbs. on a regular basis.
• Previous lumber, warehouse, construction, carpentry, landscaping, roofing, experience highly preferred.
• Quick hands, attention to detail, commitment to quality.
• Ability to communicate effectively.
• Ability to work overtime as needed.
• Ability to work in extreme conditions including heat, cold, elements, and air particulate.
• Repetitively lift up to 50-75 pounds and adjust body position to bend, stoop, walk, turn, pivot, and stand for entire shifts of varying lengths.
• Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required, including eye protection, ear protection where mandatory, and safety shoes.
• Close vision, distance vision, and color vision required.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate power saws to slot, cut, and trim wood for pallet creation.
• Operate power saws to cut and trim wood pallets.
• Follow and adhere to all safety rules and regulations.
• Communicate effectively with plant management on a regular basis.
• Work overtime as needed.
• Support the pallet manufacturing process.
