Job summary

GDI is hiring for a pallet sort/warehouse role in Hammond, IN. You will sort pallets, unload trailers, and keep the pallet area clean and organized while following safety procedures.

Forklift experience is preferred but not required; steel-toe safety shoes are required, and a background plus drug screening will be conducted. Schedule is Monday through Friday from 1:00 PM to 9:30 PM, plus Saturday 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM.

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift 35+ lbs.
• Background screening required.
• Drug screening required.

Responsibilities

• Sort and clean pallets; operate pallet-handling equipment.
• Unload trailers and sort pallets for storage.
• Maintain clean, organized pallet area and janitorial tasks as needed.

This role will use pallet-handling equipment in addition to manual manipulation to effectively sort and organize pallets according to company and client standards. You will also be responsible for managing the pallet sorting area ensuring that it is clean and orderly.

Schedule

• Monday - Friday @ 1:00PM - 9:30PM & Saturday 1:00PM - 5:00PM
• Clean and sort pallets
• Empty trailers and load sorted pallets
• Clear, sweep, and organize areas including Janitorial cleaning

Qualifications

• Must undergo a Infomart background screening
• Must undergo a basic drug screening
• Must be able to lift 35+ lbs.
• Fork-lift experience desired but not required
• Must have Steel-toe Safety Shoes
