Job summary

GDI Services in Hammond, IN is seeking a pallet-sorter/warehouse associate to support pallet handling and organization. You will use pallet-handling equipment and manual methods to sort pallets to company and client standards, while keeping the sorting area clean and orderly and assisting with trailer unloading.

Schedule is Monday through Friday 1:00 PM–9:30 PM and Saturday 1:00 PM–5:00 PM. Candidates must pass background and drug screenings, be able to lift 35+ lbs, and wear steel-toe shoes;

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift 35+ lbs.
• Must undergo Infomart background screening.
• Must undergo a basic drug screening.
• Fork-lift experience is desired but not required.
• Must wear steel-toe safety shoes.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sort pallets.
• Empty trailers and load sorted pallets.
• Clear, sweep, and organize areas including janitorial cleaning.

This role will use pallet-handling equipment in addition to manual manipulation to effectively sort and organize pallets according to company and client standards. You will also be responsible for managing the pallet sorting area ensuring that it is clean and orderly.

Schedule

• Monday - Friday @ 1:00PM - 9:30PM & Saturday 1:00PM - 5:00PM
• Clean and sort pallets
• Empty trailers and load sorted pallets
• Clear, sweep, and organize areas including Janitorial cleaning

Qualifications
