Job summary

GDI Services, Inc. is seeking a night shift janitor in Northbrook, IL to maintain a clean and safe facility. Responsibilities include sweeping, mopping, scrubbing floors, restrooms sanitation, dusting, and restocking supplies; training provided if needed.

The successful candidate will pay close attention to detail, work independently, and demonstrate high integrity in a diverse team environment during the 5:00 PM – 1:30 AM shift.

Qualifications

• Ability to show judgment and to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Clean floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming.
• Use floor cleaning equipment as needed (buffer, walk behind, carpet cleaner).
• Clean and polish furniture and fixtures.
• Spot clean glass partitions, window blinds and mirrors.
• Dust furniture, walls, woodwork, equipment and other assigned areas.
• Sanitize restrooms and fill dispensers.
• Empty wastebaskets and dispose of trash.
• Keep cleaning supplies in stock.
• Complete tasks promptly with minimal supervision.

Shift Available:

5:00PM - 1:30AM

• Clean floors by sweeping mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming.
• Use floor cleaning equipment as needed (i.e. buffer, walk behind, spot-carpet cleaner).
• Expertise of use and care for Tennant Rife on equipment T-7 . M-17 and M20 ride on scrubbers
• General cleaning of buildings, keeping it maintained and in good condition.
• Empty wastebaskets and take other trash to disposal areas.
• Sanitize restrooms and fill dispensers.
• Clean and polish furniture and fixtures.
• Spot clean glass partitions, window blinds and mirrors.
• Dust furniture, walls, woodwork, window stills, equipment and other assigned areas.
• Mix cleaning solutions according to specifications.
• Complete tasks in a timely manner with minimal supervision.
• Keep cleaning supplies in stock.
• Perform other duties and tasks assigned by supervision.
