Job summary

Simmons Foods is seeking a Pallet Jack Operator to support our plant operations. You will operate pallet jacks (electronic or manual) to collect and deliver materials between departments, ensuring safety and quality procedures are followed.

Responsibilities include reporting defective materials, loading shipments, maintaining clean work areas, and contributing to team goals. Prior experience in shipping/receiving and the ability to obtain a pallet jack license are preferred.

Qualifications

• Must have the ability to obtain and maintain pallet jack license.
• Experience in shipping and receiving preferred.
• Experience with large moving equipment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate pallet jack between departments, buildings and grounds.
• Collect and deliver materials following safety procedures and ensure no damage.
• Detect and report defective materials or questionable conditions to supervisor.
• Maintain clean, orderly work area and equipment; follow safety regulations.
• Load shipments in trailers and deliver to work areas as directed.
• Complete daily and weekly reports for the floor supervisor.
• Participate in team meetings and foster cohesiveness on major issues.
