Job summary

Simmons Pet Food is seeking a Forklift/Pallet Jack Operator to move and load materials across our facilities, while following safety procedures and USDA requirements. You will operate forklifts and pallet jacks, assist with inventory, and prepare daily reports.

Candidates should be able to obtain forklift and pallet jack licenses. Poultry or food-processing experience is preferred. High school diploma or GED is desirable.

Qualifications

• Must be able to obtain and maintain forklift license and pallet jack license.
• Industry experience in poultry or food processing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Move product using forklift, hand lift or pallet jack.
• Operate pallet jack between departments and buildings.
• Deliver materials to work areas following safety procedures.
• Load/unload shipments and verify materials are undamaged.
• Perform routine forklift maintenance and report issues.
• Record inventory numbers and codes accurately.
• Keep dock area clean and organized; complete daily reports.
