Job summary

Tyson Foods in Vicksburg, MS is hiring for a Jack Driver Operator on the 1st shift. Operate pallet jacks to move materials and products, stage pallets, verify pallet conditions, and maintain smooth production flow in a temperature-controlled fresh plant environment.

Excellent safety awareness and the ability to follow written instructions are essential. You will perform documentation, teamwork, and routine warehouse tasks while adhering to Tyson policies and food safety standards.

Qualifications

• 3 months manufacturing/industrial work history in the last 12 months.
• Must understand labels, read recipes, follow instructions, and communicate effectively.
• Candidates with Tyson Foods/affiliates 3+ times are ineligible for rehire.
• Must perform other duties as assigned.
• Must be safe and observe Tyson policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate electric and/or manual pallet jacks to transport materials and products.
• Move raw materials, packaging supplies, and finished goods to designated areas.
• Stage pallets for production, storage, or shipping as directed.
• Verify product identification, quantities, and pallet condition prior to movement.
• Maintain continuous product flow to support production and shipping operations.
• Inspect pallet jacks before use and report equipment issues promptly.
• Maintain clear and safe travel paths in production, warehouse, and dock areas.
• Follow traffic patterns, pedestrian safety rules, and right-of-way procedures.
• Complete required documentation or system entries accurately.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas.
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and hygiene requirements.
• Comply with OSHA regulations and Tyson safety policies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
