Job summary

The Palisades Kids Sales Associate at Alterra Mountain Company provides friendly, efficient service while supporting children’s ski and snowboard lessons. You’ll explain and sell lessons, manage reservations, and process tickets to ensure a smooth guest experience from booking to arrival.

Applicants must be 18+, with customer service experience in a resort setting and familiarity with POS software (RTP, Inntopia).

Qualifications

• 18 years of age or older to qualify for this seasonal role.
• Experience with children and customer service in a resort setting is preferred.
• Experience with point-of-sale software such as RTP or Inntopia is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Explain and sell group and private lessons, daily packages and other products.
• Take over the phone and in-person reservations; balance daily sales.
• Provide guests with information about Palisades Tahoe facilities and services.
• Assist with lunch setup and serve kid’s meals when needed.
• Maintain a friendly, safe, and efficient service environment.

Job Summary:

The Palisades Kids Sales Associate provides friendly, efficient, and customer-focused service while supporting the daily operations of the children’s ski and snowboard school. Responsibilities include explaining and selling lessons, packages, and other products; managing phone and in-person reservations; processing lesson tickets for presales; and providing guests with information about Palisades Tahoe facilities and services. This role helps ensure a smooth, welcoming, and positive guest experience from booking through arrival. Applicants must be 18 years of age.

Hourly:

The base hourly pay range below represents the low and high end of the Palisades Tahoe Resort, LLC’s hourly pay range for this position. Actual pay will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to experience, education, training, location, merit system, quantity or quality of production, responsibilities, and regular and/or necessary travel. The range listed is just one component of Palisades Tahoe Resort, LLC’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include short-term and long-term incentives and many region-specific benefits.

Base hourly pay range: $20.00- 25.92 per hour

Essential Job Responsibilities/Duties/Tasks include the following:

• Assures customer satisfaction with safe, friendly and efficient service
• Explains and sells group and private lessons, daily packages and other products to customers
• Takes over the phone and in person reservations
• Fulfills lesson tickets for all pre-sales
• Answers all incoming phone calls to Palisades Kids
• Responsible for accurate balancing of daily sales
• Provides information to our guests on Palisades facilities and services
• Sellers restock and clean area before leaving for day
• Assists with setting up for lunch and may be asked to help prepare lunch and serve the kid’s lunch
• Performs other duties as assigned

• Friendly attitude and strong work ethic in a team environment
• Excellent communication, organizational and guest service skills
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions and procedure manuals

• Hazardous Materials/Noise: The noise level in the work place is usually moderate.
• Equipment Used in Job: Computers and printers.

Education and Experience:

Preferred

• High school diploma or GED
• Experience with children ages 3-13.
• Customer service experience in a resort setting.
• Experience with point-of-sale software. (RTP, Inntopia, etc.)
• A Motor Vehicle Record review may be required as part of your job.
