Job summary

The Department of Earth and Planetary Sciences (EPS) and the Yale Peabody Museum (YPM) at Yale University invite applications for a tenure-track faculty appointment at any rank (Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor) in the area of Paleobotany. The successful applicant to this faculty position will also fulfill the role of Curator-in-Charge of the Yale Peabody Museum’s Division of Paleobotany.

A start date of July 2027 or later is anticipated.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. or equivalent degree required at time of hire.

Responsibilities

• Develop an outstanding research program closely tied to Yale Peabody Museum (YPM) collections.
• Lead the YPM’s Division of Paleobotany and advise students.
• Teach courses in paleobotany and related areas; pursue externally funded research.
