Job summary

Yale University invites applications for a tenure-track faculty appointment in Paleobotany at the Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor level. The successful candidate will also serve as Curator-in-Charge of the Yale Peabody Museum’s Division of Paleobotany in New Haven, CT, with a start date of July 2027 or later.

The appointment includes developing a robust research program, teaching paleobotany, advising students, and expanding the museum collections in collaboration with EPS and YPM.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. or equivalent degree at the time of hire.

Responsibilities

• Develop an outstanding research program and teaching portfolio closely tied to Yale Peabody Museum (YPM) collections.
• Lead the YPM’s Division of Paleobotany as Curator-in-Charge.
• Advise students and facilitate interdisciplinary research.
• Teach courses in paleobotany and related areas.
