Technology Environment
- Palantir Foundry: Ontology, Code Repositories, Pipeline Builder, AIP Logic and the Ontology SDK
- Data: Microsoft SQL Server and Azure SQL
- Languages: Python, PySpark, SQL and TypeScript
- AI-first development, with a large language model integrated directly into Foundry for agent-driven engineering
- Bespoke React applications, plus Foundry-backed APIs serving the company’s internal web platform
- Integrations with the core operational system, a CRM platform and third-party vendor APIs
- Planning and documentation: Jira and Confluence
Platform and Data Engineering
- Develop and extend a large ontology modelling organisations, products, commercial offers and market demand
- Add new object types, properties and links as data requirements evolve
- Own ingestion from the operational system, SQL estate, CRM and external vendor feeds, plus the transformations, pipelines and automations built on top
- Put data quality guardrails in place, including expectations that stop a failing build, freshness monitoring against agreed service levels, and tests that catch subtle issues early
- Optimise performance through query tuning, indexing, materialisation choices and caching
- Support incident resolution when pipelines or write-backs fail, which may include a share of on-call cover
Writing Back to the System of Record
- Build and maintain the flow of Foundry outputs back into the primary operational system, including scores, enriched attributes, de-duplicated entities and operational flags
- Design for safe retries and conflict management
- Reconcile records when the two systems drift apart
APIs, Applications and AI
- Design the APIs that surface Foundry data in the internal web platform, covering contracts, versioning and the response times an interactive front end needs
- Build custom applications, with limited reliance on Workshop
- Develop AIP Logic functions and agentic workflows that reason over the ontology and take action, such as sorting incoming customer requests, detecting pricing trends and highlighting unusual activity
- Maintain the agent tooling the engineering team relies on, including instructions, tool integrations and validation of agent output
