Job summary

Benjamin Moore Paint Company is seeking a Process Engineer to develop, optimize, and implement manufacturing processes across its network. You will drive improvements, lead capital and continuous improvement projects, and troubleshoot challenges while aligning with quality, productivity, reliability, and capacity goals.

You will collaborate with Manufacturing, Quality, R&D, EHS, Maintenance, Automation, and Engineering teams to ensure safe, efficient production of paints, resins, and coatings.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or related field.
  • 1–3 years in process/manufacturing or project engineering.
  • Familiar with PFDs, P&IDs and engineering documents.
  • Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma exposure is a plus.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Effective written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot and optimize manufacturing processes.
  • Lead capital and continuous improvement projects from concept to startup.
  • Collaborate with Manufacturing, Quality, R&D, EHS, Maintenance, Automation and Engineering teams.
  • Support process improvements and operational excellence initiatives.
  • Develop schedules, budgets, and resource plans; track project status.
  • Create and maintain piping/ instrumentation diagrams, process flow diagrams, SOPs and reports.
  • Perform equipment evaluations, FAT support, startup and commissioning activities.
  • Identify opportunities to reduce waste, improve cycle times, equipment utilization and product quality.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards.
  • Travel approximately 25% to manufacturing facilities.
