Job description

D.L. George and Sons Manufacturing, a family owned and operated company, is seeking 1st shift painters/powder coaters.

Qualifications and Skills

• Previous paint or powder coating experience preferred
• Apply paint or powder coating according to customer specifications
• Use paint or powder coating equipment
• Ability to read customer specifications
• Maintain and clean equipment
• Ability to read and understand work instructions and standard procedures
• Prepare parts for coating
• Follow principles and procedures for paint or powder coating application

Responsibilities and Duties

• Performs all assigned paint/powder coating operations
• Detects and reports defective materials or questionable conditions to management
• Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean, orderly condition and follows prescribed safety procedures
• Performs inspection of coated products and documents results
• Completes and maintains paperwork for parts

Physical Requirements

• Meet D.L. George & Sons medical, drug and alcohol qualifications
• Must be able to walk and stand throughout an 8 hour shift
• Must be able to lift material weighing up to 50 pounds from a floor or table position to chest high using proper lifting techniques
• Must be able to repetitively use arms, hands and fingers in the manipulation of parts, while demonstrating good hand/eye coordination
• Demonstrate good manual dexterity
