Position Highlights
- Pay: $21.00+ per hour
- Contract Type: 1-year contract
- Schedule: 8:00 a.m. through 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, Federal Holidays excluded

Requirements
- Authorization to work in the U.S. permanently, without sponsorship.
- 3+ years of professional painting experience and knowledge in the construction field.
- OSHA 30-hour construction certification.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs.
- Work at heights and climb ladders.
- Work in confined spaces.
- Work in high temperatures.
- Work in a noisy environment.
- Work may involve potential hazardous exposures such as asbestos, machine parts, soot, dirt, grease, chemicals, oil, and fumes.
- Ability to function safely while wearing a respirator - Work requiring an OSHA approved respirator and proper fit tested.
- Standing and bending for long periods of time.
- Previous experience with the VA is a plus.

Responsibilities
- Perform coating work using accepted coating methods, such as brushing, rolling, and spraying.
- Apply coating techniques to ensure a smooth decorative appearance and meet thickness and level requirements.
- Apply coating materials with any of the accepted trade devices, including those designed to give special effects, for example, brushes, rollers, spray guns, and graining devices.
- Prepare surfaces with methods such as smoothing with pumice and rottenstone, filling, shaping, and leveling with metal and synthetic resins.
- Able to make repairs and alterations to paintable exterior and interior surfaces such as walls, floors, ceilings, windows, and doors.
- Apply techniques to remove wallpaper and prep surface.
- Work a standard 8:00 a.m. through 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, Federal Holidays excluded.
