Description
Provides journey-level painting, finishing, and maintenance of a wide variety of interior and exterior surfaces and structures. May also direct the work of other classified staff in the area and perform related work as required.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Work in a safe, efficient manner.
- Knowledge of paints, their applications, and proper disposal procedures.
- Operate, clean, and maintain all painting equipment including brushes, rollers, and airless sprayers.
- Prepare, prime, sand, seal, patch, and paint furniture, surfaces, buildings, and fixtures using all types of painting materials and methods.
- Operate paint mixing stations, perform color matching, and maintain documentation.
- Store and label all materials safely.
- Erect scaffolding, rigging, and ladders as necessary, following safety codes.
- Operate within the policies and procedures of Darien Lake.
- Maintain clean, safe, and professional work areas.
- Coordinate projects with painting contractors.
- Provide safe, user-friendly work environments.
- Possess a valid New York State Driver's License and complete Darien Lake Vehicle Training program.
- Have at least 2 years of painting experience in residential, commercial, industrial, or facilities operations, both interior and exterior.
- Be available to work a minimum of 40 hours per week, plus overtime as required.
- Be at least 18 years old.
